Frequently Asked Questions
  • Why are Mr. and Mrs. helping Dlana?

I asked Mr. why he was helping us. He had many reasons, but I went back through texts and found one that answers this question.
“Although we don’t have an abundance, we’ve been blessed in life and we’re happy to pass that along when we’re directed by God – and His direction was very clear in your family’s situation. And until something happens to one of us, you are back on your feet, or He guides us in a different direction, we’re here for you.”

  • Do the children’s fathers pay child support?

No, not really. They both are not currently working and have mental and physical issues preventing long term employment. Or at least that’s the way it seems to me.
Karen’s dad is supposed to pay $20 a month, but I get that maybe once a year from him rather than once a month. Not fair I know, but I haven’t had the mental bandwidth to pursue rectifying this to date.

Freya’s dad is essentially my boyfriend, and we’re staying with his mother. So until something changes there, we’ll have to be content with the generosity that they provide with food and housing.

  • Why Should I Help?

That’s a great question and one only you can answer. I know everyone’s situation is different and there is a lot of people in need in today’s world. We’re blessed to have loving people help us with this campaign, but we need the help of generous caring individuals like you. Thank you in advance for your consideration for my girls and me

  • How Can I Help?

Please pray for us. As I mentioned on our home page, since October is my month to reapply for SNAP Food Stamps, due to the government shutdown we just learned that in addition to November being in question, October will NOT be processed. We only qualify for $536 per month, and we won’t get that this month. We could really use some help.

Please visit our GoFundMe campaign and give generously to help my girls and me financially.
